Welcome to Exercise and Nutrition Guidelines in Pregnancy and Postpartum. This course looks to give you the foundational information to make informed exercise and nutrition decisions during pregnancy.
We pride ourselves with being up to date with the latest research and we are both specialists in our areas of Physiotherapy and Nutrition, having over 11 years experience working with this client group. We have pooled all our knowledge into this course in the hope it can be a “one-stop shop” answering all your questions about how to ensure you have the healthiest pregnancy and postpartum journey!
The course starts with exercise and has been split into 4 videos covering:
Trimester modifications, scaling and foetal response to exercise
Benefits and risks of exercise during pregnancy;
The pelvic floor, diastasis rectus abdominus and pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain;
Then returning to exercise postpartum including a step by step guide.
The final video in the course covers nutrition, looking at: macronutrient intake during pregnancy, considerations when supplementing, common myths, and postpartum nutrition guidance.
